What is OWCp To Me
shadow of darkness
I am a rose, you are my thorns,
clutching to me, protecting me.
I am the sun, you are my rays,
helping me to shine and to be all that I can.
I am a lake, you are my water,
filling me with ideas, dreams, and hopes for the future.
I am a tree, you are my leaves,
sharing who and what I am
and becoming an important part of my life.
I am a heart, you are my beat,
beating rhythmically to my happiness,
my fear, my sadness, my excitement.
I am me and you are with me,
to share all that I am,
to share life, love, and happiness.

OWCp's 2nd year
By Tarek

Everywhere you find the sign,
It’s yours, his, hers, and mine,
With the others you are fine,
It’s the project of writing online.
If you wanna write well,
Here you can buy and sell,
Buy lore and words tell,
Hear the chime and hit the bell.
This is the start, not the end,
Email us, post and send,
Cooperate, borrow and lend,
Here you meet “Lovely Hend”.
Turn on your mind’s light,
With your mates, read and write,
You should post every night,
Join the folks of this site.
Needn’t pay even a coin,
Just with words, you can join,
Join us, start now,
Sure you know when and how.
OWCp, a name to remember,
Join now, be a member,
Gathering the near and the far,
It’s the shinning lovely star.
Read here and write there,
We all learn as we share.

This is post # 200,
It's dedicated to all the folks of this project:
By Tarek
Never found elsewhere,
They are softer than the air.
Many talents here do share,
For the others they do care.
Dr Shaker, you are great,
I entered through your gate.
Mr Mateab, I'd love to,
Say "well done" & "thank you".
From Suez, all my mates,
Have achieved so good rates.
Dyab & Essam are my best,
Till I more know the rest.
Then we come to the new,
But I still know a few.
Lolo, Ammorah & lolypop,
Keep sharing, don't stop.
Ahmedali, my old friend,
You & I set the trend.
Noor is a sparkling pearl,
And the same is sensible girl.
Be sure & never doubt,
I love Shuttle & Chill out.
We all form a perfect team,
With Barakaty & broken_dream.
We're rich, not poor,
With Naseem & Bodour.
Brothers & sisters I did find,
Hind & sara are so kind.
One family here we are,
And Rehab is a star.
We are lucky, sure, because.
We have Rose & Red_Rose.
That's a river, that's a stream,
That's Amany, that's
Sadeem.
All the members here should sing,
That's the most lovely Spring.
Warm greetings for the others,
Whom OWCp gathers.

To Hind,
Hind's post # 100,
By Tarek
Join Hind & celebrate,
Other posts we do wait.
She did post 100 times,
Read her posts, hear the chimes.
All the running & the walking,
Must stop, Hind is talking.
Host of roses are her words,
Spring's greenery & singing birds.
Hind is shining in the day,
She's the sun, she's the ray.
She's unique in this site,
Ray of moon here at night.
Active member here is Hind,
As the breeze, not the wind.
A real sister I've got,
One of whom I learn a lot.
Be with Hind & work together,
'Cause together is much better.

My World
By
Nemesis
It's been a
year exactly since my first visit and registration in OWCp.
It was a wild and fine year, full of ups and downs,
happiness and sadness. However, my registration to this
Project, was the best choice I ever made since a year ago
until now. I would thank Dr.Khalid who gave us, me and my
colleagues, this wonderful opportunity to write and share in
this great Project. I also thank Mr.Meteab for giving the
opportunity to all the world to share in this Project, which
means a lot to all of us now...I would say many things now,
but I'll do that soon in another thread...right now, enjoy
this poem for the time being:
My World
Many
people think they have a world of their own,
Yet,
they don’t live alone…
With
seasons, from winter to spring,
Or
everything else that life would bring;
Reviving
everyday with an idea and a subject,
Living
each moment studying this object,
Dying
every single night…knowing finally, that this is…our world.
I
had a world of my own,
Since
I was born, until now: it stood perfectly all alone;
Colliding
with every kind of crisis,
Overwhelming
any rolling dices,
Lugubriously,
betting my world would decay,
Like
anything else that the storm would waste away;
After
that, things had changed,
Power,
and authority had ranged,
Support
of history books, and mind was not enough
It
was something from the inside that came like a cough,
Neglecting
the dusty past, and the mythological overcast,
Gates
and doors were open, and light came from the “future”
saying: “this will last”.

A Woman's Fantasy
By
Maha Noor Elahi
A Woman's Fantasy
A very special person she is looking for;
A person who scarcely existed before.
This is her great long-sought goal,
To find the missing part of her soul.
She is seeking a creature who is fair,
Honest, loyal, and handles her with care.
Compassionate and patient when her heart bleeds of sorrow,
Strong and reliable when she is weak and afraid as a sparrow.
She is seeking someone whom she can believe,
Someone who will not give up and leave,
After their first stormy childish fight,
Someone who will search with her for light.
She is seeking someone dignified and proud,
Yet his nobleness melts modestly in the crowd,
Someone whose wisdom overwhelms her mind,
But in matters of the heart, he is giving and kind.
She is not looking for luxury, charm, or perfection.
She is looking for one who can give her true affection.
Someone who’s trustworthy and virtuous,
someone who’s devoted and gracious.
An angel this person is not,
His defects are, in fact, a lot,
But she can handle his imperfections,
As long as love dominates his affections.
Sadly, her search will end in despair,
And she will be bitterly obliged to declare,
That after searching everywhere, she had a shock,
Because she discovered that a true man is out of stock!
Out of Hell!
By Maha
*************
I will not surrender to your sick soul!
I will take back the heart you once stole!
I will not succumb to your odd desire;
To use me, then throw me in the fire!
I will not be humiliated and belittled again!
I refuse to be a dummy that doesn’t complain!
I refuse to cope with your futile mind!
I refuse to live in a wrecked fragile bind!
You’ve imprisoned me in the hell of oppression!
You’ve drowned me in the depths of depression!
I have foolishly endured your austerity,
But I cannot tolerate your despicability!
Our sacred bond has been polluted by your spitefulness!
Our infant love has been distorted by your carelessness!
So why shall I stay, and what for?
I cannot bear your madness any more.
I know it’s a difficult decision I am going to take,
Yet better than putting my mind and soul at stake!
No regrets or fears . . . I am on my way to be,
No submission or tears; I’ve decided to be free!
The Marionette
By Maha
Whether we like
it or not, whether we are brave enough to admit it or not,
whether we are well aware of it or not, women are still
dominated and used by men!
Seeing and knowing too many white slaves in every form and every
place inspired me to write this!
I tried to
sum up the issue of women in this poem.
I am not
against men as I don’t believe that life is a battle between the
two sexes I just want women to think for themselves and never
take any decision in their life under the influence of men.
*******
You can find her in the street,
Or on stage to entertain,
Or at home sitting at your feet.
It's easy to wash her brain!
Because she's a marionette!
She moves at the point of your fingertips,
Seductive or romantic, depends on the trend,
Curvy, skinny, blond, or with silicon lips,
She is in your hands, easy to mold and bend.
She's a marionette!
But she must not only be made to please,
To be fair, she must also be allowed to lead.
Just offer her a few important roles and degrees,
Make her feel that it is possible to succeed,
Even though she's a marionette!
And when she's about to take control,
Create a perplexing issue for the feminist fools;
Who can take the absent mother's role?!
Make her feel guilty and incomplete to set the rules.
She can never rule 'cause she's a marionette!
Thrown in an ocean of wild contradictions;
Be naked, but virtuous and respectable,
Be free, but hold on to the roots and traditions,
Be strong, but tender and delectable….
Poor drowned marionette!
Lost on her way searching for Superman,
Trying to be a beloved Barbie.
Entrapped in the dark world of Batman,
Making a fruitless attempt to be,
Yet she's never going to be… but a marionette!
Perished on her
way to attain fake promises
Of eternal glory, youth, and beauty,
Enslaved on her way to seek illusive promises
Of justice, freedom, and equality,
Resorting to the so-called saviors of the marionette!
The masked saviors act in a hypocrite sly way,
To make her think she's the one who's throwing the dice,
To believe that she's playing the game in her way,
Unaware that she's the only one who's paying the price.
Foolish marionette!
They give her, let her, prevent her, deceive her,
They're the givers; they're the takers,
They control her, convince her, educate her;
But they're always the decision makers,
'Cause she's only a marionette!
They say: Listen to her, enjoy her, pretend to learn from her
Make her feel that she has power over you,
They say : Play with her, smash her, fix her or throw her,
After all, no body will put the blame on you
For breaking a frivolous marionette!
Poor marionette, cluttering and stumbling,
Can't deicide whether to be blond or brunette.
Poor marionette, stuttering and jumbling,
Doomed to please the saviors of the marionette,
But never to comfort the weary self of the marionette!
A
cute flock of pigeons
By Maha
A cute flock of
pigeons
Will always be
A witness
To the murder of
innocence
To the pollution of
justice.
The love of pigeons
Will always be
An unwilling witness
To Wojdan’s destined
death
By the hands of
worthless terrorists.
The hungry pigeons are
waiting, Wojdan..
Won’t you come and
feed them again?
Who will tell the
pigeons
That Wojdan won’t come
any more?
Who will dare tell the
pigeons
That a pure girl has
died
Because love has
filled her heart?
Who will tell any
mother
That Wojdan..
Could have been her
child?
Next time…
When you see a dove,
Don’t think of peace;
Just remember
The murder of Wojdan.

Barely At Night
ali al-majnoni
Barely at night, when eyes are surely shut,
And so are the doors,
Stand by your window, and listen to what
Moon is telling shores.
Wide open your eyes, and stare at the sky
That golden stars spot.
Look at the place where sea is running high,
And dark walks on foot.
Pace to your orchard, and among the gloom,
Sniff sweet-smelled flowers
That the gentle breeze has spread their perfume
In the late night hours.
Barely at night, if my heart lies a-sleep,
Come to me, a guest,
Sweeten my dream, and before the day’s peep,
Let your touch off my breast. |

Feel Feelings
salem al-Salem
What a wonderful feelings my
heart concealed
Seeing you just enough but not a dream
Can't hide no more of tears
Tears my eyes will always shed
I live the moment today indeed
A great pleasure and lots of joy
Can't hide no more of tears
Tears my eyes will always shed
So can you only say and think of only me
And stay wherever you want to be
But after all remember me
And always feel what I concealed
I love you more than words can say
And more than sun shiny ray
What can I say more than what I feel
This is how much I love be in love
And this is how much my words can conceal
So can you only say and think of only me

To My Mother
ali al-majnoni
While I was
running over my memorandums, my sight fell upon this following
short poem. I decided to post it through OWCP because of the
position it has in my inside.
To whom my happiness delights, and my sadness depresses..
To the first congratulator when joy comes at my doorstep, and
the first consoler when a mishap knocks my door..
To who prides herself on me, and I pride myself on her..
To who devoted her precious time and her effort and her life to
raise me..
To who always wishes me success..
To who always keeps her eyes on me..
To who suffered hardships after my father's death for my sake..
To my great mother I dedicate these sentimental words as a part
of my thankfulness and gratitude...
If not to you,
To whom then I do write?
If not for you,
For whom then I do write?
I knew you before
My eyes opened to see life
Across its far shore
When my lifetime did arrive
Inside your chest
You did put up with passion
From your breast
You did milk me compassion
Streaming into my veins
Your love runs through my blood
For you spared no pains
To rear me with feelings as flood
Great you are indeed
Inside my heart your account grew
To conceive 'n' breed
The noble duty of greats like you
You taught me how
To spell words of sympathy 'n' love
Till I memorized now
And in your jar I did spill enough
Grateful I try to be
To who granted me everything
Unlike others I see
Mercy in her bosom is dwelling
Yours faithfully;;;;

I love the way that
you love me
By Tarek
I love the way that you love me,
I love the waves of your sea,
Of your love give me more,
Make my ship reach the shore.
You’re the light on my way,
You’re the sun of my day,
You’re the moon of my night,
You love me, you are right.
Go with me under the rain,
Be with me, treat my pain,
With your love make me fly,
You and I fly so high.
Love me, “Honey” love me much,
Shut your eye and feel the touch,
The best painting is your face,
I am the winner of love’s race.
You’re the eyes with which I see,
To happiness you’re my key,
My dearest love you’ll ever be,
I love the way that you love me.

When a hurtful word is
spoken
Shadow of Darkenss
When a hurtful
word is spoken
Or an unkind deed is done
I always must remember
I am not the only one
Who has ever been mistreated
Stepped upon or pushed aside
By thoughtless harmful actions
Or selfish hateful pride.
The world is full of people
Who purposely abuse
Who lie and cheat and slander
And manipulate and use
Anyone and everyone
Who might get in their way
Of success or fame or power;
No price too big to pay
God's word is clear and simple
About what I must do
When I have been offended
By friend or foe's misuse:
"Forgive...and be forgiven"
I dare not keep a score--
Seventy times seven
Times seven hundred more.
When I am unforgiving,
The battle I'll not win;
For I need my Father's mercy
To blot out all my sin.
Forgiving is not easy
Yet I know it can be done:
I look to Christ my Savior,
The Holy, Sinless One.
When Jesus raise up from the cross
His words rang clear and true,
"God, please forgive them,
For they know not what they do."
As the Precious Lamb of God
Christ wants me to see:
Forgiving is the power
That sets my spirit free!
Forgiveness is God's wondrous gift
That sets my spirit free
She wants him not to know
By Tarkek
She wants him not to know,
Shall
I follow the moral law?
The
question seems to be easy,
Yet,
it really makes me crazy.
Were
he there in my place,
Would
it be a different case?
Would
he come & tell me?
He’s
the one who has the key.
If I
do achieve her aim,
What
I gain will be shame.
I’ll
lose my dear friend,
Should I now put an end?
If he
knew truth from me,
Would
he try hard to see?
He
would hard punish her,
That
would be so unfair.
The
friend’s sister is this one,
The
trio of us now do run.
Just
before lightning & thunder,
All
of us need an answer.
I
alone gotta decide,
So I
need a wise guide.
A
genius’ idea may arise,
And
present a compromise.
That’s the friend, that’s her heart,
Who’ll end & who’ll start?
She
wants him not to know,
Should I follow the moral law?
What do you think
The fire
